As one of top ten “development zones with the best investment value in the Yangtze River Delta Region”, with a total planning area of 98.3 square kilometers, Jiangsu Yixing Economic Development Zone is mainly composed of the industrial park, the logistics park and the new city of scientific innovation. 光电子产业具备整机装配能力，以液晶电视机、显示器为核心的产品群规模庞大，以华东光电子创新基地为核心的技术研发平台，全力推动TFT-LCD、LED、RFID、线路板、半导体、数码产品研发制造6个重点分项产业发展。将研发、孵化、中试、量产示范等功能聚集为一体，并组建数据中心、研发中心、技术中心、测试中心，积极打造全国光电技术产品集散中心。

With regard to photoelectronic industry, we are capable of assembling complete sets of machines. We can make large batches of such core products as liquid crystal TV sets and LCD. On the technological R&D platform with the East China Photoelectronic Innovation Base as its core, we are endeavoring to boost the R&D and manufacturing of six key products, namely, TFT-LCD, LED, RFID, circuit board, semi-conductor, and digital products. By integrating R&D, incubation and pre-production test into a coordinated whole, we have established a data center, an R&D center, a technological center and a testing center; thus we are actively cultivating a distribution center of photoelectronic products for the whole country.

In the field of new energy source, the Guodian new energy source industrial base with a total investment of RMB 9 billion yuan, the Jiacheng Solar Power with an installed capacity of 1 gigawatt, and the Maiji Solar Power whose equipment takes the lead in the world have successively put into production. We are continuously perfecting the industrial chain from pull-rod, silicon chip, assembled solar power battery, IGBT, inverter to tracker. We are continuously climbing new heights of industries from first-generation crystalline silicon solar power, second-generation thin-film solar power to third-generation spotlight solar power. As a result, the top-notch “solar power valley” in the country will come into existence here, and the biggest new energy source industrial base in the country will be emerging here.

Here new material industry has enormous potentiality. At present we have formed two industrial clusters of nuclear power materials and new-type packing materials. Such large-scale enterprises as Sandeli Stainless Steel, Guowei Aluminum, Yipeng Machinery, and Jiangsu Yinhuan have cooperated with each other and formed Baoyin Nuclear Power Tube, a leading enterprise in East China, even in the whole country, and the largest nuclear power tube production base in the world.
